Mandelic Acid Serum - 10% Concentration

Our Mandelic Acid Serum is a wonderful treatment product. Great for all skin types, it's also excellent for sensitive skin that tends to be reactive to other treatments of this type.

Our Mandelic Serum has a 10% concentration with a pH of 2.5.

Initially, we advise you use your serum every-other-day... at night only... until your skin adjusts to the serum. Once the skin has adjusted, increase to a once daily application.

What is Mandelic Acid?

Mandelic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid. Derived from bitter almonds, it has a number of benefits for the skin.

The molecular structure of mandelic acid is larger than better known alpha hydroxy acids such as glycolic acid and lactic acid. This means it takes longer to penetrate the skin's surface and is much less irritating.

--Mandelic is typically an excellent exfoliator for clients suffering from Rosacea.

 

Directions for use: Cleanse and tone your skin. Apply serum to dry skin. Begin with an every-other-night application until your skin adjust to the serum. Once the skin has adjusted, use nightly.

Clients need to be aware that by using glycolic acid and other peeling products, your skin will be more photo-sensitive than normal. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, preferably SPF 30 or higher, after using skin peel products.
