15% Salicylic Acid At Home Peel

 PH 2.3

Salicylic Acid Peel is oil-soluble, thus making this acid perfect for oily/acne skin that needs deep pore cleansing and loosening of blackheads.

“The MUAC 15% Salicylic Peel is a miracle for my oily skin, cystic acne and large pores. My acne decreased so much just after one use and my pores are so clean and tight now.” ~Casey, Park City, UT

Benefits of Salicylic Acid Peel :

  • Cleans pores
  • Removes oily residue from skin
  • Helps to clear acne and loosen blackheads
Cautions:
  • Because salicylic acid is in the aspirin family, it’s important for clients who are allergic to aspirin to avoid salicylic acid usage.
  • If you are pregnant, consult with your OB/GYN before using chemically-based products.
  • Always patch-test the skin before using acid-based products. Wait 24-48 hours to see if irritation develops.
  • If you experience irritation, rinse off immediately and discontinue use.
  • Do not apply to red, irritated skin.
  • Do not use granular exfoliators, scrubbing pads, or scrubbing brushes on the day of your peel.
  • Discontinue other acids, acne products, benzoyl peroxides, drying skin care, and retinoids for 24 hours before the peel and the day *of* the peel.

Deep Pore Cleaning with 15% Salicylic Acid

Target stubborn acne, blackheads, and oily skin with our professional-strength 15% Salicylic Acid At Home Peel.

Unlike AHAs, salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA).
It is oil-soluble and penetrates deep into pore linings.

It dissolves sebum and debris that cause breakouts.
This potent solution delivers deep exfoliation.

It clears congested skin and reduces inflammation.
The result is a clearer, healthier complexion.

A Powerful Solution for Acne-Prone Skin

This 15% salicylic acid peel treats persistent acne effectively.
It is ideal for cystic breakouts and excess oil production.

It accelerates the shedding of dead skin cells.
It clears pores from within.

It treats existing blemishes and helps prevent future flare-ups.
Regular, careful use reduces active acne visibly.

Chemical peels cause the skin to be photo-sensitive. Per the FDA, always use sunscreen protection after using chemically-based skin care.

Directions for use:

Always patch test!

Patch test the areas you plan to treat. If you are doing a facial peel, patch test a small area, about the size of a quarter near the jawline.  Follow the directions, below, rinse thoroughly then wait 24-48 hours to make sure your skin tolerates the peeling serum nicely

Directions for doing your peel:

Cleanse your skin with a non-acid cleanser. We recommend our Green Tea Pomegranate Cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and pat skin dry.

pH Prep Solution – Dispense onto a cotton ball or pad and wipe your face to remove oils and dirt from the skin’s surface. If your skin is dry or sensitive this step can be omitted or substituted with Witch Hazel.

Your first efforts at peeling: Begin with fewer minutes to ensure a safe experience. Then increase the on-skin-time as your own sensitivity levels allow.

Apply the peeling serum. Begin at the forehead and work your way down the face, using thin layers of serum. Don’t rub the serum into the face. Just apply topically, making sure your skin is nicely covered with a thin layer(s).

Leave the peel on for up to 3-5 minutes.

Rinse with warm-to-cool water and cleanse again if desired. Make sure the serum has been completely removed from your skin. We offer a stand-alone Post Peel Neutralizer if you’d like to use it to ensure proper neutralization. Moisturize with a non-acid, non-retinoid moisturizer. We offer our Green Tea Moisturizer.

After the peel:
Your skin may feel warm or appear pink. This is normal. However if, during the above process, your skin burns remove the peel immediately with cool water and/or use our Post Peel Neutralizer to stop the peel from processing. The above peels may not produce much in the way of visible peeling, but they are indeed rapidly exfoliating your skin. You will feel the softness immediately post-peel and most certainly the next morning. Your pores will be clean and skin texture will be more refined and radiant.

Always use an SPF of at least 30 for several days after peeling. Freshly peel skin is photosensitive and needs SPF protection. If your foundation contains an SPF factor of 30+, this is acceptable as well.

Use weekly for 8-10 weeks to see optimal results.

Clients need to be aware that by using glycolic acid and other peeling products, their skin will be more photo-sensitive than normal. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, preferably SPF 30 or higher, after using skin peel products. The FDA recommends using an SPF for one-week post-peel.
